We've been keeping busy since 12:30 p.m. Sunday. So far Ashtyn has been to the Instacare, the ER, spent 24 hours in Pediatric ICU, and is now in her room on the cancer floor. She has had a CT scan, chest X-ray, MRI, heart echo, several IV's, lots of IV fluids, medications to breakdown WBC's, and two platelet transfusions. We now know Ashtyn has the same leukemia she had 3 1/2 years ago, high risk ambiguous or undifferentiated leukemia. Tomorrow she starts chemo and will do most of her fight in the hospital. We are going to start with a four week chemo regimen and see how the cancer responds. Please pray that she will go into remission as soon as possible so she can head to another bone marrow transplant. This girl knows what's ahead of her and doesn't want to do it alone. She knows she can stand strong with the support of family, friends, and strangers. Feel free to send her cards to the hospital. She would love to hear from you. #ashtynsarmy
