When we got into Salt Lake City at 9:30 p.m. we were greeted at the airport by my mom and dad, Brad, Ethan, and Ashtyn's dog Marlie. When we got home there was a Welcome Home sign from my mom on the garage and Ashtyn's room was decorated by her Student Government friends. Her dad, stepmom, and Morgan were at my house and two of my girlfriends, Holly and Kathy, soon arrived. There was a lot of talking and naturally one by one people left. Ashtyn eventually went to bed at 1:00 a.m. while Holly and Kathy stayed until 4:00 a.m. That's pretty much my schedule lately so it was perfect ha ha! Thursday I took Ashtyn to the hospital to get labs drawn. We figured she may need a blood transfusion and thought it was best to find out Thursday so that orders were ready Friday making clinic day not so long. Sure enough she does need a transfusion which will be given today. It's a pretty big bummer that we have to go to the hospital two out of our four full days at home but we'll just make the best of it. We got home from the hospital at 4:00 p.m. and company did not stopping coming the rest of the night. We loved it. Emily from LLS came to congratulate her for winning the Student of the Year Campaign. Amazing! Two friends from school, Lexi and Cole, and Lexi's mom dropped off money they raised for Ashtyn from selling "Ashtyn Army" T-Shirts. Amazing! Ashtyn's uncle, three aunts, grandma, grandpa, four cousins, dad, and stepmom came over. A couple neighbors brought food, a friend dropped off a box of goodies, and another friend delivered take-out that Ashtyn was craving. All of it is Amazing! It seems the more I focus my energy on interacting with others, everything else falls into place.
